London, Viral Sach (Bureau) : England beats India at Lord’s 2025, claiming a thrilling 22-run victory in the third Test and registering their first win at the iconic ground since 2018. This victory was also India’s fifth unsuccessful chase at Lord’s, as they crumbled under pressure while pursuing a modest target of 192 runs.
Despite both teams scoring a combined 387 runs across both innings, England’s second-innings total of 192 appeared vulnerable. But it turned out to be enough, thanks to a disciplined bowling effort. India’s innings began on a poor note with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal falling for a duck and Karun Nair scoring only 14 runs.
Captain Shubman Gill’s form remained a concern as he added just 16 and 6 in both innings. At one stage, India was reeling at 82/7, still needing 111 runs for victory. Ravindra Jadeja’s fighting 61 gave some hope, and Nitish Kumar Reddy added 13, building a small but crucial partnership.
However, the lower order failed to provide resistance. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj couldn’t stay long, and India was all out, handing the win to England.
England’s bowling attack was led by Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, who took 3 wickets each. Brandon Cars took 2, while Chris Woakes and Shoaib Bashir chipped in with one apiece.
With this result, England beats India at Lord’s 2025, breaking a 7-year drought at the venue and leveling the series in thrilling fashion.
